About Us
Safety Systems, Inc. is a family owned business with headquarters in Jackson and branch offices in Adrian, Lansing, Livonia, and Toledo, OH. The company was started in 1967 by Dale Decker who began a business of installing security systems while concurrently working for a national bakery.
The company now employs more than 50 people and offers design and installation of commercial security systems, fire alarm systems, residential security systems, fire extinguishers and extinguishing systems, closed circuit television surveillance systems and card access control systems. In 1978 the company introduced its own central monitoring station, transferring hundreds of alarms from various law enforcement offices to a new facility in Blackman Township. Safety Systems Central Station has been thoroughly evaluated by inspectors from Underwriters Laboratories and Factory Mutual insurance organizations and has been accredited to provide approved central station fire alarm monitoring services.
In November of 2007 Safety Systems became a Women's Business Enterprise
